  • Saturday, October 22, 1:00-3:00 in Meeting Room B—Writing Workshop: Kevin McKelvey will lead this workshop. This workshop will include instruction in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry writing. All attendees will receive a free journal. McKelvey is a place-based poet, writer, designer, and social practice artist. He teaches English at the University of Indianapolis and directs the M.A. in Social Practice Art. This event is made possible with the support of Indiana Humanities and Glick Philanthropies.

  • Thursday, October 27 @ 5:00 in Meeting Rooms A & B—Visiting the Beyond with Curt Strutz: Have you ever wondered what the inside of a REAL haunted house looks like?  This INTERACTIVE and extremely unique presentation does just that! Curt has been a headline speaker for the Illinois Paranormal Conference and a guest speaker at Troy Taylor’s Haunted America Conference.

  • Rochester, IN 46975)—A Walk in the Woods: Bird Watch/Nature Walk: Join us at the Snipes Tree Farm for a Bird Watch/Nature Walk with Indiana Advanced Master Naturalist Wayne Richard Pope. All ages are welcome to attend. This event will be outdoors, rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather. This event is part of the library’s One State / One Story: World of Wonders series. One State / One Story: World of Wonders is presented by Indiana Humanities in partnership with the Indiana Center for the Book and the Indiana State Library.
